Daily Bread

Give us this day our daily bread…

We take pride in our Sourdough bread made of white unbleached flour and rye flour, yielding a crispy crust and a delicious inside. Choose from baguette, demi, bâtardor mini available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every day during the summer.

The Coussin is a little square loaf made of white unbleached flour with a soft and very aerated inside. Best for sandwiches, hamburgers or nibbles.

Available from Thursday to Monday.

The Ménage is made of white unbleached flour and malt flour. It has a thick crust and a tasty inside. It’s a rather substantial bread. Our favourite for toast.

Available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Italian is a blend of white flour and whole wheat flour, with a nice crust and substantial and slightly aerated inside. The perfect bread for your Italian dishes or grated garlic bread. Mamma mia!

Canadian bread and whole wheat breads have different shapes : miches, soles, fesses, jacks, rondins, longuets and ficelles. They have a light crust and inside.

Special Breads for Special Occasions

At Boulangerie St-Donat, you find bread for breakfasts, snacks and appetizers, to serve with cheese: raisin tresses and hérissons, focaccia and fougasse, nut and raisin, Matin de congé (hazelnut, chocolate and raisin), Festif (bun-style bread with orange zest and chocolate or fresh cranberry and chocolate), multigrain, round cheese loaf, olive, sunflower and more original breads.

Our Bread

We bake our bread the old-fashioned way : it is slowly kneaded and rises for several hours so as to develop its maximum flavour and aroma.

Most of our breads contain no additives, no sugar, no fat and are made of five ingredients: flour, water, yeast, salt and passion for our work.
